Hot Singles

Summer Sixteen – Drake

After having ridden the hot line bling wave well into the new year, Drake finally gives us something else to work with. Cue Summer Sixteen – Drake’s way of letting us know that he still resides on top of the rap game.

While re-kindling his longstanding feud with fellow rapper Meek Mill, the Canadian also advises fellow Toronto up and comers to stay in their lane. We’re looking at you Tory Lanez.

The track premiered on OVO Sound’s 14th episode as part of their show on Beats1 radio.  Drake also used the platform to announce the release month of his forthcoming album – ‘Views From The 6’ due in April. The artwork for the track was designed by Filip Pagowski who helmed Comme Des Garçon’s iconic heart logo.

Pillow Talk – Zayn

Leading the pack into solo terrain, the former One Direction member released his anticipated first single. The track explores the spiritual and physical elements that come with sex and intimacy while tapping into an uncensored and raw sound, which Zayn aims to explore.

His debut solo album ‘Mind of Mine’ will be out later this year.

Smoke And Retribution – Flume

While this marks the first collaboration between Flume’s Harley Edward Streten and California native Vince Staple, the track was originally a beat conceived in the back of a van bound for Vegas. After having heard of Staples ‘Summertime ’06’ offering, Streten sought out the young rapper and showed him the beat. The rest is history.
